An ‘Ombre’ Evening
Club Member Gemma Parker did the demonstration for us this month, showing us how to create an ‘Ombre’ cake.
‘ Ombre’ referring to the way the colour of the icing goes from light to dark, And I was not alone in not knowing that.
Gemma made it all look sooooo easy? As with nothing more than piping bags filled with different coloured buttercream and a small pallette knife she proceeded to create a centre piece to out do anything on ‘the bake off’
This was something that anyone could achieve with a little piping practice, whatever their ability.
